What is denial management?

It is the case when the claim is denied due to any errors. The provider reconciles the claim with the original reports upon making correction in the billing invoices or codes and then, resubmits the claim. These cases are common in the medical billing domain. The exchange of claims and denials may be happened multiple times.

The claim rejected and denied are different cases. However, these terms are commonly used interchangeably. The denied claim does not spare any scope for re-claiming as the insurer has found it not payable. The rejected claim can be re-submitted after making corrections or reconciling the billing or coding details.
